SHHS Spotlight: Wes Johnson, class of 1990, is making strides in the baseball world. Johnson was named the head baseball coach for the University of Georgia on Monday. Johnson was previously the pitching coach at LSU and an assistant at Mississippi State and Arkansas. Go Bears!

Today is D-Day. June 6, 1944, on the beaches of Normandy, 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces landed on 5 beaches, stretching 50 miles to open a second front against Nazi Germany. Allied troops lost 4,000 soldiers that day.
