💀🌼 Celebrating Día de los Muertos
Spanish III & IV students created beautiful ofrendas to honor and present the lives of famous Hispanic figures who have made a lasting impact on Spanish-speaking cultures and communities. 🇪🇸✨
Día de los Muertos is a cherished Latino tradition that honors, remembers, and celebrates loved ones who have passed — and our students did an amazing job bringing that spirit to life. 💙🐻

Look at these cool vocabulary drawings! Ms. Martin's Spanish classes practiced vocabulary, incorporating drawings to exemplify the definitions. What great work, Bears!

👕 Tomorrow is AVID Wednesday! 📣
This week, we’re spotlighting Mrs. Stephanie DeWitt’s kindergarten class at William Jefferson Clinton Elementary. Students recently completed an AVID jigsaw activity on story elements. Each group became “experts” on characters, setting, beginning, middle, or end, and then taught their classmates what they learned.
“It’s been wonderful watching them collaborate, think critically, and deepen their understanding of how stories work! Way to go, scholars,” Mrs. DeWitt shared.
Don’t forget to wear your AVID shirts tomorrow, celebrate student success, and keep building those college and career ready skills!
