School may be out – but school meals are still in! Children in the PCSSD community won't go hungry this summer and will have the opportunity to eat for free, thanks to PCSSD and its foodservice partner, Chartwells K12. This summer, we will be preparing meal packs for breakfast & lunch for anyone 18 years or younger in the community. The PCCSD summer meal program does not require registration or identification, and children do not have to attend PCSSD schools to receive the meals. Just show up at the pickup sites on distribution days from 7:00-10:00 a.m., and the meals will be loaded into your vehicle. For more details, see the attached image. #ServeAll #PCSSDproud

🎓 Officer Jamal Hockaday, our School Resource Officer, will graduate this Saturday from UALR with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and an Associate of Science in Law Enforcement. His accomplishment honors a promise he made to his father and reflects years of dedication, service, and perseverance.

🎨 Graduating senior Emele Siegfried was honored at the 2026 Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition at the Governor’s Mansion last Thursday. Her painting, "Emerging from the Red," a striking portrait of Elizabeth Eckford of the Little Rock Nine, was selected from thousands of submissions across Arkansas.

Her teachers, Ms. Otten and Mrs. Hurst, said, “There is no one more deserving than Emele to receive this honor. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and feel lucky to have been her teachers for the past three years!” 💙🐻

This Spring, PCSSD students earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy in Albanian, Arabic, Cebuano, Hausa, Indonesian, Italian, Spanish, Urdu, and Vietnamese.

The Seal recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in English and at least one additional language through AP exams, ACT or ATLAS scores, or language assessments such as the STAMP test.
