Last week 7th Grade AVID Scholars from around the district met at Lake Willastein to engage in some team building activities. Pictured here is the "introduction station" led by AVID Coordinator, Mr. Boaitey from Mills Middle School. Scholars created name tents and introduced themselves moving to another person every 30 seconds. Other stations included "arts and crafts," "kickball," "field games." September was Attendance Awareness Month and we challenged all students to be a H.E.R.O. Students were tasked to be Here...Everyday...Ready...On time and we had some great results! MILLS MIDDLE had 4/4 weeks with 95% or higher attendance.

Students in Ms. Knott's geography class have been learning about the continents. The class had a little fun earlier this week, to practice spatial awareness as it relates to geography. The students created a blindfolded drawing of the continents! Do you think you could do this task?
