A Big, Big Comet "Thank You" to the parents and scholars who attended last week's Literacy/Math Night and Scholastic Book Fair and Carnival. Families enjoyed dinner, engaging vendor booths and themed rooms with games and activities. Books were viewed and purchased at our Scholastic Book Fair and most couldn't leave the Bingo room because of the great donated prizes and gifts.

Thank you to GEAR UP Arkansas for partnering with us on this event as well as Arkansas AIMS, Mainline Health, Arkansas Department of Game and Fish, Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, and others who secured vendor tables or classrooms to exhibit and engage with our families and community. A wonderful time was had by all.

👩‍🏫The Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High School teacher will be honored again before the Arkansas State Board of Education in January, representing not only Mills High and Pulaski County but the entire state with this prestigious award.

🏫Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education Humanities Specialist Isaac Cross and Social Studies Specialist Ronda Smith (GLI coordinator) presented the recognition before the Board.
