ATLAS Summative Level Up - Part 3
"ATLAS ALL STARS"
As we reflect on all the good that occurred last year and make space for even more good this year we wanted to celebrate our ATLAS ALL-STARS
These scholars scored Level 4 (Exceeding/Above Mastery) and/or Level 3 (Proficient/Mastery) in all tested areas; and/or met their targeted growth or exceeded their targeted growth in all tested areas; and the classes of the teachers highlighted show the most growth and/or scored the highest in their discipline or tested area (Math, Algebra 1, Reading/ELA, Science)
We are proud of all of our Comets! Let's keep keeping the light on!!!

Please Note: You may drop your donations off at Mills Middle School (1205 East Dixon Road, Little Rock, AR 72206) between the hours of 9am - Noon, Monday - Thursday. We would be happy to arrange for a pick up if that is more convenient for you.
We also welcome monetary donations and will use them to purchase supplies on your behalf. Please make checks or money orders payable to Mills Middle School and place in the memo section “donation for school supplies.”

We hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of Mills Middle School, located in the Pulaski County Special School District, we remain dedicated to supporting the academic success of our scholars while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we recognize that many of our scholars come from families facing financial challenges. As a result, they may lack essential school supplies, which can hinder their academic experience. To address this need, we are launching a School Supply Drive, and we would greatly appreciate your support.

Mills Middle School's AVID Excel Summer Bridge is happening this week!
Scholars are engaged in fun and interactive learning activities . In fact, here the learning objectives for the week: (1) Scholars will engage in recursive routines that will increase their confidence, academic language, and literacy development; (2) Scholars will speak in collaborative structures to increase skill and confidence when speaking in public and build a sense of community.

The goal of AVID Excel is to change the path of long-term English learners by accelerating language acquisition, developing literacy, and placing AVID Excel students on the course to high school AVID and college preparatory coursework.

Here's a few pictures from our Mills Middle School Transition Camp running this week. Our goal is to ease the transition of our rising 6th grade scholars from elementary to Middle School. Scholars have the opportunity to experience classrooms as well as academic and behavior expectations. After this weeklong camp scholars will feel comfortable and prepared to be sixth grade Comets!

We’re providing free breakfast and lunch packs for all children 18 years and younger in our community. No registration or ID is required, and children do not have to attend PCSSD to receive meals.
Each pack includes 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches. Families can pick up meals from 7:00–10:00 a.m. at the designated distribution sites, and staff will load the packs directly into your vehicle.
