
Students in the MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES Special Education math class enjoyed their Holiday Shopping Mission. Students went holiday shopping and created a slideshow with each person they shopped for, what they were buying, and how much it cost. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


MAUMELLE HIGH Chemistry students created a Chemis-tree to display element projects. Each student selected an element, researched it's properties & created a slogan to sell the element. They did a great job & had fun putting together the tree! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Kindergarten students at CRYSTAL HILL ELEMENTARY “elfed” themselves. They cut elf pieces, designed outfits and then glued their faces on their elves. And the project would not have been complete without elf hats for the big elves too.


Kindergarten students at COLLEGE STATION ELEMENTARY had so much fun with this STEM project: what can we make with a box? Their ideas were so inventive and the final projects really showed off their creativity. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH chemistry students did a solubility lab to explore the nature of hydrophobic and hydrophilic molecules. The "running" of the markers on the cotton cloth is responsible for the interesting patterns in the images. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


3rd grade students at CHENAL ELEMENTARY had to build a contraption to hold their balloons. They created balloons dressed as animals based on the book "Balloons Over Broadway" and we talked about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


2nd grade students in Ms. Gilmore's class at OAKBROOKE ELEMENTARY studies bats and wrote one pagers describing bat facts and habitats. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


Students at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH isolated a banana's DNA. Detergent breaks down the cell's outer membrane. Salt water separates the DNA from other materials. Filtration separates the pulp. Isopropyl alcohol helps the DNA clump together. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


JOE T. ROBINSON HIGH freshman seminar students are screen printing t-shirts. The student body could bring any article of clothing for the design to be printed on for $5. More than $100 was raised to be donated to Humane Society of Pulaski County. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


AVID 10-11 graders at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH created College Pumpkin Row for "Which College is Best For You?" Pumpkins were decorated with college mascots and provided an information card with a QR code where students could learn about each college. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


During center work, MAUMELLE MIDDLE students worked with discount sales tax simple interest. Ms. Vilches bought board games for centers. Students used the board games to work on current standards. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


CENTER OF INNOVATION art students had to use cardboard to make a food item or dish. The food had to be 3D and stand on its own. The Ramen Bowl is work done by an 8th grader and the steak is work done by a 7th grader. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


7th grade math students at MAUMELLE MIDDLE determined the slope and y-intercepts from linear equations and graphed their lines. Students then colored the graphs to replicate stained glass artwork. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


LAWSON ELEMENTARY 5th grade Alpha students built VEX IQ robots. The students have a game field in the classroom to compete against other Alpha students from other grade levels. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
