Due to a continued increase of COVID-19 cases, PCSSD will issue AMI days Monday and Tuesday next week. Schools and district offices will be closed for public access. PCSSD COVID-19 team will continue to monitor case numbers and make AMI decisions on a school-by-school basis.

OAKBROOKE ELEMENTARY students engineered a bridge to figure out how it can work without supports in the water. The 4th graders had to demonstrate that their bridges could hold hot wheel cars to prove it was sturdy enough for weight. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

SYLVAN HILLS JUNIOR HIGH students channeled their inner artist through the study of renowned American Artist Georgia O'Keeffe. The goal was to replicate the artist's oil paintings using the GRID Method, Color Mixing, and Oil pastel techniques. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


LAWSON ELEMENTARY 3-5 graders kicked off their 30 Book Challenge by creating a life-sized food truck. Students created food trucks with their menu items listed as books they are interested in reading before the end of the school year. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Students in the Alpha classes at CHENAL ELEMENTARY used the Engineering Design Process to design and create mini-golf games and putters. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


4th and 5th grade students at LANDMARK ELEMENTARY wrote short stories which were published into books. They wrote the short stories on their own for National Novel Writing Month. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


SYLVAN HILLS HIGH dance students did three numbers - jazz, ballet, and tap. There are 14 students in dance class and are an inclusive class. The students have come so far from the first of the year. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


8th grade Family and Consumer Science classes at SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE created hand sewed emoji ornaments. They had so much fun working on this project bringing their creativity to life! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


Students in the Technology Student Association at MAUMELLE HIGH raked leaves, trimmed trees, cleaned gutters, repaired fencing and helped where they could for the Maumelle Senior Center. It meant a lot to the students to be able to help. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


The JOE T. ROBINSON HIGH Two Languages Club completed a service project in which they read books to bilingual students at LAWSON ELEMENTARY. Bilingual books were also handed out and students talked about the advantages of being bilingual.

Kindergarten students from BAKER ELEMENTARY had so much fun making snowmen in art class. The learned about Model Magic and how to colorize it with markers. Students mixed colors then assembled their snowman, adding personal touches. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
