This week's topic focused on team building as the groups worked together to solve a silent maze. Afterwards, the students read an article and worked to mark the text together.

September was Attendance Awareness Month and we challenged all students to be a H.E.R.O. Students were tasked to be Here...Everyday...Ready...On time and we had some great results! MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH had 3/4 weeks with 95% or higher attendance, with 1 week at 94%.

During the school year, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH has the opportunity for TWO students to represent our school and student body at the monthly Board of Education meetings. Last night, senior Jaiya Arrington represented our school at the October meeting. We're so thankful for her hard work and willingness to represent the Comets. Way to go, Jaiya! Our next rep will be in February.
