Sherwood Elementary proudly participated in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's School of Conservation Leadership Program. This school-wide initiative included every student and teacher, with each grade contributing to hands-on conservation projects throughout the year. Students showcased their efforts in May, presenting projects like native animal research, wildflower planting, recycled art, archery, and a student-led community-wide fishing derby.
On July 17, 2025, Sherwood was named one of only 13 Arkansas schools to receive the “School of Conservation Leadership” designation for 2025–2028. We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to protecting Arkansas’s natural resources.
