Ms. Shettles-Tull's favorite thing was a special delivery for COLLEGE STATION. “Our 2nd-4th graders created holiday cards for schools in each state, and we have received fun, fact-filled cards back from all 49 other states! We enjoyed the cards coming in!” #pcssdproud #serveall

Mr. Stephens of SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE shared a warm and fuzzy favorite thing from first semester. “The students had a coat drive to collect new or gently worn coats. They distributed the coats among PCSSD elementary schools to provide coats for kids in need.” #pcssdproud #serveall

MAUMELLE HIGH’s Ms. Fontenot shared a vibrant favorite thing from her art students. “Students were asked to create a color study using colored pencils on black paper. Drawing II students created beautiful artworks and flexed their growing artistic skills.” #pcssdproud #serveall

Mr. Staswick’s favorite thing highlights BAKER’s economics focus. “My class created a business with the goal of turning a profit and doing good. Students made a custom brand and a BOGO model that was incredibly profitable. So far, they've donated 58 hats!” #pcssdproud #serveall

Starting tomorrow, our schools and district office are officially on winter break until the new year. District offices will reopen January 2, 2025. Teachers return on Monday, January 6, 2025 for professional development and students return on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Enjoy the break! #pcssdproud #serveall

For November, Chartwells Discovery Kitchen was all about highlighting the flavors of homemade foods. Students at HARRIS, DAISY BATES, LANDMARK & COLLEGE STATION ELEMENTARY schools sampled roasted butternut squash, inspiring them to try recipes at home. #pcssdproud #serveall

The ROBINSON HIGH climbing team rocked their most difficult competition yet. Students stretched to their limits as they took on higher grades and even more challenging routes. The girls team placed 2nd overall and the boys took home 1st place! #pcssdproud #serveall

Students from OAK GROVE elementary came together to collect canned goods for a Holiday Can Drive. Shout out to 1st graders who won the class competition bringing in over 200 cans! We love to see our school families giving back to the local community. #pcssdproud #serveall





AVID tutorials are the cornerstone of the AVID elective at MILLS MIDDLE. Tutors ask questions to help small groups work through points of confusion experienced in their coursework. We love seeing the AVID strategy, collaboration, in action! #pcssdproud #serveall



Every year, departments within the District collect gifts for some of our families in need. This year, PCSSD selected families from six schools to shop for from their lists. We're thankful for the chance to fulfill Christmas wishes for these students. #pcssdproud #serveall

15 educators from PCSSD attended the 2024 AVID National Conference in Dallas last week. These building and District leaders had the chance to learn from fellow educators and AVID staff through a variety of sessions.
