Shout out to art teacher, Mr. Van Horn, who has allowed students to redeem their PBIS points for some fun options (at his own expense). This week, one student redeemed points to add some "color" to Mr. Van Horn's appearance. He dyed his beard pink! If you see Mr. Van Horn around the school, be sure to compliment him on this new look.

STEM is an important initiative across PCSSD that encourages students to collaborate, persevere and think critically. The monthly STEM is LIT challenges combine reading with STEM lessons to understand how everything works together. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Freshman, Emma Clamp completed a 25 kilometer trail race along Lake Norfork on Saturday. She was the youngest female runner to complete the grueling event with nearly 3,000 ft of climbing and won her age group! XC and Women’s Track Coach, Wesley Hunt, won the 50k race, setting a new course record in the event.

PCSSD has been implementing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to teach kids behavioral expectations, just as we teach about other subjects. This system has improved learning and behavioral outcomes for all students. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
