Pulaski County Counselors Association is planning a summer book drive that will directly benefit our students that may need extra support for summer literacy.
We are asking families to donate gently used books now through May 12 to your school counseling office. Books of any genre are accepted as they will be distributed to children of all ages in our District.


Today is Arbor Day. The Arbor Day Foundation encourages everyone to plant a tree, find a local tree planting event, or donate to programs to ensure trees continue to be put in the ground.

3 PCSSD Pre-K programs have earned a higher rating from Better Beginnings. All PCSSD Pre-K had achieved a Level 3, but the program recently increased to 6 levels. BAKER and LAWSON increased from a 3 to a 4. OAK GROVE increased from a 3 to a 5. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Lawson Elementary recently hosted Zinse Agginie, artist-in-residence with the Arkansas Arts Council, as he taught djembe drumming to 3rd-5th grades. A group performed at the Museum of Discover Family Night on April 13th. Mr. Agginie also taught drumming to K-2nd grades through storytelling.
