We're recognizing our school board members this month with a throwback to their high school days. Next up, Stephen Delany board member for zone 1. Delaney attended the Scholars/TAG program starting at College Station and then Fuller Jr High before graduating from Mills in 1999. Delany was a member of the 98' state champion quiz bowl team, the speech and debate team, and served on the TAG program advisory council. #pcssdproud #serveall

First graders at CHENAL and CATO ELEMENTARY learned all about pulleys. While learning all about these mechanisms, students also built their own pulley and tested them out. They finished their lesson by writing about their experience. #psccdproud #serveall








Ms. Combs' 6th grade art students at ROBINSON MIDDLE drew a portrait of a shelter pet from the Humane Society of Pulaski County. Those portraits will now go home with the respective pet when adopted. What a heartwarming project for the students and pets! #pcssdproud #serveall








The lockdown has been lifted at Harris Elementary. Pulaski County Sheriff Department canvassed the area but did not find anything of concern. They gave the all clear and lifted the lockdown at approximately 12:30. Students and staff are safe and continuing the school day.
Harris Elementary is currently on lockdown due to gunshots heard in the area. This a precaution move at this point in time. However, we ask that no one attempt to come up to the school at this time.
Students from ROBINSON MIDDLE and CATO ELEMENTARY (& other PCSSD schools) visited UA-Little Rock last week for the annual "School Day" basketball game. Hundreds of students from central Arkansas schools enjoyed watching UA-Little Rock women's team in action. #pcssdproud #serveall
