Ms. Thibeault's dance classes at MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES and MAUMELLE HIGH performed together last night at MUSHS. Students have been working on a variety of dance techniques. This performance included students' who studied Alvin Ailey's "Revelations." #pcssdproud #serveall

Students from PCSSD participated in the 36th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza and 3 were selected as winners in the elementary coloring contest! Congratulations to Reese (5th grade, OAKBROOKE), Parker (Kindergarten, SHERWOOD) and Hannah (1st grade, WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON). Principals from 8 schools in the District received reward checks from the CSL Achieve grant for school performance. BAKER, CHENAL, CRYSTAL HILL, SHERWOOD and SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY, ROBINSON MIDDLE, ROBINSON HIGH, and DVA all improved school performance year-over-year. Funds were divided up by each school (LEA) equally. Additionally, the grant will provide a retention bonus to our special education teachers who worked in PCSSD for the 2022-2023 school year and returned to the District for this school year. Way to GROW, principals!

Last weekend, PCSSD transportation department participated in two holiday parades! The Northwest pound attended the Sherwood Christmas Parade with the HARRIS ELEMENTARY cheerleaders. The South point joined the North Little Rock Christmas parade with cheerleaders from MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH. The buses were decorated for the occasion.

Third through fifth grade AVID students from COLLEGE STATION experienced a hands-on tour of the Little Rock Air Force Base as part of career month. Students learned about the K-9 unit, high-flying hygiene, night vision, and water rescue tools. #pcssdproud #serveall
