Neither snow nor rain nor heat slows down our security guards — or our appreciation of them. Three cheers for Officer Cowen of PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY who keeps their students safe at dismissal every day! And thanks to a very kind PFES family for his gift. #pcssdproud #serveall

We're excited to see The Academies of Central Arkansas continue to expand within PCSSD. The Academies empower students to be active participants in their future by providing real-world learning experiences. Watch the video: https://youtu.be/cJGLL2AI9pE

Love to see our work families wrap up the school year with a bit of fun! DAISY BATES enjoyed a cookout, ROBINSON HIGH took the party off campus, PINE FOREST brought out the games & craft supplies and CRYSTAL HILL felt the love from a community partner. #pcssdproud #serveall

Starting this week, PCSSD will offer 5-day meal boxes every Thursday for households with children ages 2-18. There will be two pick up locations: MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH and CATO ELEMENTARY. Boxes can be picked up 7-11am. https://www.pcssd.org/article/1618697

Our educators empower student achievements beyond campus and the school year. Congratulations to our students heading to Arkansas Governor's School this summer! Students will live on a college campus focusing on topics like music and art to math and science. #pcssdproud #serveall

Mrs. Norman & Mr. Tillar of SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY created SAFARI classroom transformations! Students researched safaris, designed binoculars, and went on a nature walk. What a fun, immersive hands-on approach. No binoculars needed spy student smiles. #pcssdproud #serveall

National Family Month perfectly coincides with the end of school & the increase of family time. Your family can plug in during this season (and beyond!) by adding a Family Night to your weekly schedule, eating meals together and tackling chores as a group. #pcssdproud #serveall

Just in time for Great Outdoors Month, ROBINSON HIGH students in Coach Nicholson's Environmental Science class and Mr. Waddell's Industrial Technology class worked together to build benches and a planter next to the Science Club's garden space! Great work! #pcssdproud #serveall

No matter where these MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES students head off to this summer, their understanding of the world expanded this year. Thanks to Dr. Franco's Spanish class, they learned to show their creativity through their "My Life Story" books. ¡Muy bien! #pcssdproud #serveall

One of the best ways to beat summer slide? Reading! These BAKER students worked hard all year to become Word Millionaires and were rewarded with a t-shirt & more! We bet the habits they built will bring many more reading adventures to come. Way to go! #pcssdproud #serveall

COLLEGE STATION ELEMENTARY wrapped up the school year with a special visit from The Innovation Hub. Students’ creativity came alive as they learned about printmaking, creating their own designs, and transferring them to paper. The students had so much fun! #pcssdproud #serveall

Happy Fri-Yay! We hope you enjoy the weekend half as much as our OAKBROOKE pre-k students enjoyed their end-of-the-year foam party and t-shirt signing festivities. #pcssdproud #serveall

ROBINSON MIDDLE 6th Grade Art students made hundreds of origami cranes in honor of AAPI Heritage Month. The cranes were donated to the Plantation Agriculture Museum in Scott, AR to honor the Japanese-American families who helped improve agriculture in AR. #pcssdproud #serveall

Congrats to the exceptional SYLVAN HILLS JUNIOR HIGH students honored with Ethics Awards by the Sherwood Rotary Club. Their commitment to leadership shines bright, inspiring us all. Keep up the amazing work, making a positive difference in our community. #pcssdproud #serveall

Just before break, students at CRYSTAL HILL, PINE FOREST and OAK GROVE ELEMENTARY were treated to a fun storytime with MAUMELLE HIGH principal Dr. Farr. The students loved every minute. We love seeing the connections within our feeder schools. #pcssdproud #serveall

These CHENAL ELEMENTARY students will be ready for fun in the sun thanks to their new bikes! Students were entered into a Bike Raffle incentive for earning 90% of their PBIS points! Thank you to school and community partners for making this possible. #pcssdproud #serveall

Yearbook signing is a time-honored end-of-the-year tradition. Check out all the love and encouragement being shared at the CRYSTAL HILL ELEMENTARY and ROBINSON MIDDLE signing events. What's your favorite part of yearbook - class pictures? signing? candids? #pcssdproud #serveall

Yesterday was for students... teachers, now it's your turn. Happy last day of school for you! Time to cue the last-day-of-school-happy-dance!
