
It's National Handwashing Awareness Week. The CDC has a Life is Better with Clean Hands campaign encouraging adult to make handwashing part of their everyday life, along with encouraging parents to wash their hands to set a good example for their kids.


It's National Handwashing Awareness Week. The CDC encourages the use of hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available. When using hand sanitizer, apply the gel product and rub hands together covering hands and fingers until dry. This should take around 20 seconds.

Wet hands w/ clean, running water (warm or cold)
Apply soap
Scrub front & back of hands, between fingers, & under nails for 20 sec
Rinse hands w/ clean, running water
Dry hands using a clean towel

November is Native American Heritage Month. Programs across the country work tirelessly to preserve the stories and heritage of the original inhabitants of the land. But some tribes are keeping traditions alive, including American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians.

The staff at PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY went on a "turkey hunt" last week. Admin hid 30 "turkeys" around the school and teachers had to find them all by the end of the day. As the turkeys were found and turned in, they got a fall-themed decor sign! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
