September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month. The CDC reports that nearly 1 in 5 U.S. children are obese. We recognize this month to bring awareness and provide some potential solutions to get kids eating healthy and physically active.

Today we celebrate Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day). On this day in 1945, the formal surrender documents were signed by Japan aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay. Parades filled streets across the country to mark the day to end of World War II.
