3rd graders at OAKBROOKE ELEMENTARY celebrated the Day of the Dead by combining science and social studies lessons. They texted their engineered pinatas using force and compared and contrasted European and North American traditions and holidays. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence





Members of the Arkansas Symphony visited LAWSON ELEMENTARY 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders with the "Meet the Strings" program. Kegan Sandlin was chosen as our "guest conductor." Dominic Matlock was featured on the double bass. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

COLLEGE STATION ELEMENTARY teachers attended the Get Your Teach On conference last summer. This past week was the official Rock Your School week. Teachers dressed like rock stars and incorporated rock themed lessons into their daily plans. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


Maumelle High School’s mentoring group, Young Ladies of Excellence, with Cosmetology, visited Painting with a Twist. The club builds self-esteem and leadership skills. Students will also receive lessons in cosmetology. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


3rd graders in Bowman’s class at SHERWOOD ELEMENTARY participated in Reader’s Theater. The students practiced their parts over the week and performed for their classmates. They discussed theater etiquette as well. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
