PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. — Maumelle High School senior Jaylin Everett has been selected to serve as the April 2026 Student Board Member for the Pulaski County Special School District. He sat alongside the PCSSD School Board in its September 8 meeting.

Everett serves as an ambassador for the Telcoe Federal Credit Union Academy of Business and Service in the multidisciplinary pathway. He also leads as a drum major in the school’s band. He is involved in the jazz band, Beta Club, National Honor Society, wrestling, and theatre.

Everett says one motivational figure in his education is his wrestling coach, who has an interesting quote to keep the team motivated: "Embrace the Suck." This always reminds him to accept challenges and keep pushing through difficult moments. He carries that mindset with him every day to keep growing and become the best version of himself.

After graduation, he plans to attend college, possibly the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and eventually earn a master’s degree in music therapy.
