Principal Mike Hudgeons begins his 8th year as principal at Sylvan Hills Middle School and 39th year as an educator. Mr. Hudgeons has a mathematics degree from the University of Arkansas and a degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University. He has 21 years experience as a classroom teacher and is entering his 18th as an administrator. "I'm very proud to be a part of this community. I enjoy Sherwood and I especially enjoy working with my staff and students at SHMS. 24-25 is going to be a great year for the BEARS!

As an educator, I have 12 years of experience as a substitute, paraprofessional and Family and Consumer Science teacher. I am here to serve the students, families, staff, and community.
