The University of Arkansas Little Rock campus is hosting a free Community Coding Day, Saturday, December 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Activities include an hour of code, little robots, lighting of the Christmas trees, and cyber security. No registration is required.

AVID students had a friendly competition as part of the Sylvan Hills Middle School food drive. Each class worked in groups to see who could make the tallest food tower. The school collected 10 large boxes for the food drive. This was a great experience for our students and they all enjoyed helping others.
Today is Substitute Educators Day and we want to remember long-time PCSSD substitute teacher Ron Kimbrew who passed away earlier this month. He recently served as a long-term substitute at Oakbrooke Elementary. Thank you, Mr. Kimbrew! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
