During parent-teacher conferences last week, the AVID students set up a table in the front entry to greet parents. They invited parents to write their child a positive postcard and the AVID students worked with Mrs. Hum to put the notes in the designated lockers throughout the week!

This week there have been a few instances where students have required medical attention and, therefore, we asked teachers to hold students in their classrooms. This allowed medical personnel to focus on student care and ensure privacy for the student(s). At no time was the school itself in any danger nor were we on lockdown. These are precautionary steps we take to maintain the health and safety of all students in medical emergency situations.
This is National Coding Week! What new digital skills are you learning to help others and your community? Coding also helps students learn teamwork and problem solving skills. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Just a quick note to brag on the students...we have right at 1150 as of today and so far this is the best group of kids we've had in my 6 years at SHMS as far as being respectful, being well behaved, just being good people. Time will tell how successful they are as students but as people they are A+....congratulations parents and well done!
This is Recycle Awareness Week! PCSSD is committed to recycling and reducing waste across the district and in our schools. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
