Today is Leap Day! Leap years exist because it actually takes the planet a little bit more than a year to orbit the sun. That time is rounded down to the 365 days we recognize as a typical year, those nearly six extra hours don't disappear. Leap years are added to account for the difference. Please do not schedule any doctor appointments or plan early checkouts for this day. Our other ATLAS testing days are in April--the 16th, 17th, and 18th. Turn in your book report with a parent signature and you will be ready to dress up as a book character on Tuesday, March 5th! Wednesday, March 6th grades 3,4,and 5 take the ATLAS Writing Test. Classroom teachers will incorporate other ways to celebrate great books and reading all week.
