Students from Mills University Studies AVID class visited College Station Elementary today for their inaugural "AVID buddies" session. The goal of AVID buddies is to build relationships between high school and elementary students in order for elementary students to receive academic support and create friendships. During these twice-monthly meetings, students will engage in a relational capacity activity and focus on reading fluency, writing, and math concepts.
