MUSHS Champion Ring & Net Cutting Ceremony

SWEET HOME, Ark. -- Months after clinching their 24-25 4A state championship, the Mills University Studies High School Comets were honored this Tuesday with a championship ring and net-cutting ceremony on their home court.

Students and faculty packed the gymnasium, where each player was presented with a custom championship ring. The excitement peaked when the seniors and coaching staff took turns snipping down the net, symbolizing the ultimate triumph in 4A Varsity Boys competition.

MUSHS Championship RingUnder the leadership of Head Coach Raymond Cooper, the Comets finished the season with an impressive 36-1 overall record and remained undefeated at home. They defeated the Morrilton Devil Dogs 56-51 in the state championship game. The victory marked Mills’ third state championship since 2020,

Coach Raymond Cooper lifts cut netAt the ceremony, Principal Damian Patterson stated, "If I have to say one thing that I could say about this team without all these statistics, I want to say that they are probably one of the most resilient group of young men that I've watched play basketball."
