Summer School Information

PCSSD is pleased to provide patrons the 2017-2018 summer school schedule and registration information. The summer school program is designed to provide instruction for students in grades 6-8 for course recovery and credit recovery for students in grades 9-12. 

Middle School Summer School is offered Onsite ONLY and will have instruction in English, math, science and social studies by certified teachers.

Onsite High School Summer School instruction will be delivered by certified teachers who will use a variety of methods, strategies including Odysseyware to support students’ learning experiences. Semester I courses will only be offered Session I and Semester II courses will only be offered Session II.

High School students may also use Odysseyware (Online) to complete credit recovery online for any available course should they prefer to work from home. These course also will be facilitated by certified teachers. Please keep in mind choosing this option requires focus, dedication and a minimum 60 hour commitment on the part of the student for each course taken. Only 2017-2018 SENIORS are allowed to take online math course and the application must be approved by the District Office.

High school courses will include English I-IV, Algebra I, Algebra A & B, Bridge to Algebra II,  Algebra II, Geometry and Advanced Topics in Mathematics, as well as social studies and science courses based on student requests. 

Interested parents should contact counselors at their student's school for more information about eligibility and the registration process. If you child qualifies for Free or Reduced lunch, your child will be eligible to attend summer school free of charge. Please notify the bookkeeper upon registration to verify your child's status.

  • May 1 – June 13: Middle & High Registration for On-Site Summer School: Sessions I & II

  • May 1 – June 29: High School Online Summer School Registration: Sessions I & I

  • June 11 –  July 20: High School Online Summer School: Summer Sessions I & II

  • June 13: On-site fees are due

  • June 18 – June 29: On-Site Summer School: Summer Sessions I & II

    • Summer Session I: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

    • Summer Session II: Monday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. 

  • June 22: Midterm grades will be emailed
  • June 29: online fees are due

Semester 1 courses will only be offered Session I. Semester 2 courses will only be offered Session II.

All In-District student registration will be done at the local school.

Session II

11:30 a.m. –  1 p.m. Class Time

2:45 p.m. Dismissal
