Mu Alpha Theta and Beta Club students from Sylvan Hills High School volunteered at the Arkansas Foodbank last week. Shout out to this group of volunteers for breaking the single day packing record at Arkansas Foodbank!
The students repackaged 2,124 pounds of donated cereal which will be provided to Arkansas Foodbank agencies to serve 1,770 meals to families in need. This number breaks the previously held record of 1,800 pounds packed by a previous volunteer group in one day.
“Thank you to the awesome students and teachers that came out to volunteer at the Arkansas Foodbank," said Patricia Fry, Volunteer Engagement Manager. "Because of volunteers like you, we are able to provide nutritious food to families, children, and seniors in our service area who are in need!”
Way to go Sylvan Hills Bears! You make us #pcssdproud!
