The Pulaski County Special School District adheres to all rules governing how to meet the needs of students with characteristics of dyslexia related to assessment, identification, and services according to Acts 1294 and 1268.
Referrals for Level II screening and services for characteristics of dyslexia are initiated at the school level. The Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator should use the following forms to refer students. For additional information about PCSSD and Dyslexia, please contact your school principal.
During the 2017-2018 school year, Pulaski County Special School District used the The Sonday System, an Orton-Gillingham Based Reading Intervention Program, in small group intervention to address the deficit areas of students identified as exhibiting the characteristics of Dyslexia.

During the 2017-2018 school year, 235 students attending Pulaski County Special School District were identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia. There were 182 students identified in the 2017-2018 school year.
