The Classified Personnel Policy Committee met on November 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. in Conference Room B of the Central Office. In attendance were John Sparks, Keith Cooper, Julie Welfel, Clint Walker, Loria Bryant, Derek Scott, Becky Del Rio and Charles Blake. Bill Goff attended by conference call.
John Sparks opened the meeting to address the Superintendent’s Proposal of Non-recurring Salary Payment to All Personnel. The Classified PPC has been informed today that the proposal has changed from $1000 to $1250.
Becky Del Rio moved for the Classified PPC to graciously accept the Superintendent’s Proposal of Non-recurring Salary Payment to All Personnel of $1250, or for an amount equal to the amount of the non-recurring Salary Payment granted to the certified teachers. Loria Bryant seconded the motion. Discussion ensued. Motion carried unanimously.
Keith Cooper initiated a discussion on FMLA policies. Keith Cooper moved to invite HR to discuss the new policies of the FMLA at the January meeting. Loria Bryant seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Loria Bryant asked about the professional growth payments, which will end in the 2013-14 year. The details are included on page 31 of the Classified PPC manual.
The next meeting will be January 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. in Conference B of the Central Office.
Charles Blake moved and Derek Scott seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting.
