Taylor Elementary uniform policy

All elementary students (K – 5th grade) in the Pulaski County Special School District are required to comply with the Uniform Dress Code. New students to the district schools will be given two (2) weeks to comply with the PCSSD Uniform Dress Code (Board Policy Code JICA). The following is the Uniform Policy for Murrell Taylor Elementary:

Clothing items are to have NO visible labels and are to be the appropriate size (no sagging and no bagging). We appreciate your cooperation in making uniforms a success.

Backpacks must be clear plastic or mesh only. Rollers are allowed, but all bags must be carried inside the building.


Boys:

Shirts

  • Short or long sleeve collared shirt or turtleneck in solid colors
  • Colors: Red (not maroon or burgundy), navy (not light blue), white, & the orange tiger school t-shirt (can be purchased in the office)

Trousers

  • Belted or elastic waist pants or walking shorts
  • No sweatpants, wind suit pants, overalls, drawstring, jeans, cargo, or zip-off shorts or trousers
  • Colors: Khaki or navy
  • Belts: Brown or black

Shoes

  • Any color shoes that enable students to participate in PE and physical activities safely
  • No “heelies”, house shoes, mules (open-heeled shoes), sandals or flip flops
  • Tennis shoes are strongly recommended

Winter

  • Jackets or coats may only be worn to school and are to be hung up in the classroom during the day
  • Plain sweaters, vests, blazers or sweatshirts in uniform colors may be worn over a collared turtle neck shirt, polo or buttoned down shirt
  • No writing, designs, patterns, team names, etc. with the exception of the school logo

 


Girls:

Shirts

  • Belts: Brown or black

Shoes

  • Any color shoes that enable students to participate in PE and physical activities safely
