Three PCSSD students recognized as Young Arkansas Artists

The Young Arkansas Artists exhibition has grown to be one of the most popular exhibitions held at the Arts Center. The YAA showcases artwork by Arkansas students, kindergarten through 12th grade. More than 600 works in a wide variety of media are entered annually.

PCSSD schools fend off flu

MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV) – While the flu outbreak hits most of America, schools have become more susceptible to the spreading virus.

The tune of The Letters of the Alphabet, which is typically a great phonics tool, now helps students keep track of time while they wash their hands at Pine Forest Elementary.

Elementary students do their part to make the holidays bright for veterans

Students at CRYSTAL HILL ELEMENTARY and PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY took time out today to make holiday cards for veterans, including those at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Pine Forest Elementary ALPHA hosts social event of the year

Pine Forest Elementary hosted several dignified guests on Monday, October 29, 2012. Several politicians, scientists, artists, musicians, and other noteworthy people were in attendance. Some of those in attendance were: John F. Kennedy, Amelia Earhart, Thomas Jefferson, Claude Monet, Helen Keller, Abraham Lincoln, Jane Goodall, Albert Einstein, and many more.
