The Jacksonville High School Vocal Music Program presents 9-11, Eleven Years Later: A Musical Memorial Tribute, on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. in the JHS Auditorium. This is free to the public and all are welcome. Please join us as we pay tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives, our armed forces, and local servicemen and women through the art of music.
For the second time in their history, the Jacksonville High School Jukebox band was invited to perform at the Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission’s 44th Annual Commemorative Vigil due to their outstanding performances for the 2011-2012 school year and for their dedication to the community. The Jukebox Band was the only full band to attend this event.
Congratulations to the NORTHWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL choirs and the NORTH PULASKI HIGH SCHOOL concert/show choir. These choirs participated in the Central Region Choral Performance Assessment last week at Searcy High School. The seventh-grade NWMS Intermediate Girls Choir received four Division One ratings of Superior Performance. The seventh- and eighth-grade NWMS male chorus not only received four Division One ratings of Superior Performance, they also were the highest scoring male chorus for the entire Region Assessment.
