Mills High celebrates senior scholars

Similar to an athletic signing, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH hosted a scholarship signing ceremony this morning to acknowledge every senior scholar who has received one or more scholarship letters. To date, this year’s senior scholars have received offers totaling over $16 million, with one student receiving $1.2 million alone and another receiving one-half million dollars. Each of these stellar students signed an official ledger and, as a group was presented with an oversized check.

Mills High FCCLA fashion show

The MILLS HIGH FCCLA and Fashion Merchandising students will host their fashion show, “In Livin’ Color” next Friday, April 27, at 9 a.m. in the school auditorium. Mills students will model casual, formal and personal style fashions. Dance and vocal entertainment will also be presented by Mills students.

Mills High girl’s softball team supports breast cancer awareness

When the MILLS Comets Girls Softball Team played a conference double-header at Monticello last month, it was Monticello’s honorary game for the cure of breast cancer. Coach Glynn Nooner’s team joined in to help support the worthy cause – the players wore pink shirts and socks and instead of eating at a restaurant after the game, they chose to spend their money at Monticello’s concession stand as their way to help in the fund-raiser.

Mills High to host math and literacy event

Parents of students at MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH are invited to attend the Mills Math and Literacy Night, on Tuesday, April 10, from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., in the gym. It will be a night of information, fun, food and door prizes. Make plans to come out and enjoy the evening!
