PCSSD mourns loss of school counselor

PCSSD is mourning the loss of Jacksonville Middle School counselor Pam Perez, whose death was reported Tuesday morning. Ms. Perez was employed by the district for almost 18 years both as a teacher and, most recently, as a counselor.

Students in PCSSD returning to $8 million in renovations

The PCSSD spent $8 million in renovations this summer.

“We had some building fund money, and thought there’d be no better way to spend it than to get the buildings in better shape for the students,” said Superintendent Jerry Guess.

Phone outage at Jacksonville Middle UPDATE

As result of a fire in the area of Jacksonville Middle School Friday night, telephone service to the school has been interrupted. CenturyLink has been notified and is working to restore service.
