As result of a fire in the area of Jacksonville Middle School Friday night, telephone service to the school has been interrupted. CenturyLink has been notified and is working to restore service.

An eighth-grader teaching high school students? It happened! The EAST classes at Jacksonville High School tried everything, but could not get their poster machine (plotter) to work. In true EAST style, the facilitator from the high school called the facilitator at Jacksonville Middle School. “Kennan Stallard is the student for the job,” was the answer.
Today during the “We Are One” Patriotic Celebration held at JACKSONVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL, two members of the 119th Honor Guard from Camp Robinson conducted the flag folding ceremony — a dramatic and uplifting way to honor the flag on this Veterans Day.
To promote the EAST Initiative, SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE, JACKSONVILLE HIGH , JACKSONVILLE MIDDLE and NORTH PULASKI HIGH schools will host EAST Night Out cooperatively at McCain Mall tomorrow night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Center Court area of the mall.
