Robinson Middle students are hooked on fishing

Teacher and Coach Tim Harrison started and sponsors the fishing club at Joe T. Robinson Middle School in conjunction with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. The program, Hooked on Fishing not on Drugs (HOFNOD), is designed to give students an alternate extracurricular activity. The RMS Fishing Club Derby was yesterday, and students were required to pass all classes and remain in good standing with the principal in order to attend. The activity was a big hit!

Coach Bratcher crowned Robinson High’s Biggest Loser

The final tally is in and the winner of Joe T. Robinson High’s “The Biggest Loser” contest is RHS Assistant Football Coach Brady Bratcher. Coach Bratcher lost 34.4 pounds and dropped his body weight percentage by 12.4%!

PCSSD and Daisy Bates Elementary invite you to tonight’s health fair

Daisy Bates Elementary School (14300 Dineen Drive, Little Rock, 72206) will be hosting the Pulaski County Special School District Health Fair on Thursday, April 18. The Health Fair will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a American Heart Association blood drive kicking off at 3 p.m.

PCSSD schools fend off flu

MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV) – While the flu outbreak hits most of America, schools have become more susceptible to the spreading virus.

The tune of The Letters of the Alphabet, which is typically a great phonics tool, now helps students keep track of time while they wash their hands at Pine Forest Elementary.
