PCSSD receives 100,000 meals to share with hungry children

The Arkansas Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education Family Support Unit seeks to serve the teen parents of Arkansas. The unit makes providing childcare assistance for active students a priority because the continued education of teenage parents is important.
If parents / guardians have not yet registered / checked-in students for the coming school year there is another opportunity to do so.
For students in grades 6-12, registration is scheduled for July 30, 2012, through August 3, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the registration hub for the student’s corresponding school:
PCSSD Assistant Superintendent Dr. Brenda Bowles was presented with the Southern Minority Leadership Award of Excellence at the 22nd Annual SMLC Conference on June 14. Dr. Bowles, who serves as the superintendent for Equity and Pupil Services, was named as one of four worthy individuals across 13 states to receive this prestigious award. The purpose of the award is to recognize those individuals who excel in educational leadership. Dr. Bowles was honored for her excellent visionary leadership and dedication to the children and families she serves in our school district.
