College Station, Home of the Dragons

On December 11, 2012, College Station Elementary invites all PCSSD third- and fourth-grade gifted and talented students to join them on a nostalgic and historic trip backward, then forward, down the world famous Route 66 “Main Street of America,” an American adventure! Students have done the research and created the adventure through their study of Route 66. See the Interdisciplinary “project-based learning” accomplishments to be showcased during their week of activities. The week will culminate with you as a special guest on December 11, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Learn more about College Station Elementary’s Traditional and TAG Specialty Program.

Elementary students do their part to make the holidays bright for veterans

Students at CRYSTAL HILL ELEMENTARY and PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY took time out today to make holiday cards for veterans, including those at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

College Station Elementary students getting a lesson in Chinese language, culture

Just another Monday in class, learning Mandarin Chinese. No sweat says third grader Antwoine Moore.

Asked how people react when they learn he’s taking Chinese, Antwoine answers, “They say, no you’re not… But after I speak Chinese, they’re like, “What school do you go to?”

Students in PCSSD returning to $8 million in renovations

The PCSSD spent $8 million in renovations this summer.

“We had some building fund money, and thought there’d be no better way to spend it than to get the buildings in better shape for the students,” said Superintendent Jerry Guess.
