PCSSD to Host Career Fair on Friday

PULASKI COUNTY, AR — The Pulaski County Special School District will host a Career Fair this Friday to recruit employees for the 2013-2014 school year.

According to Shawn Burgess, the district’s director of human resources, employment opportunities are available for certified teachers, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, transportation staff, custodial staff, adult education staff and food service staff.

Brandon Burlsworth Foundation providing free glasses for children in need

Glasses can be costly, and for students who need them but don’t have the money to pay for them, that can be even more heartbreaking.

Now thanks to the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation, every year students that are low income or have no insurance receive a voucher for a free pair of glasses.
