EAST students design meerkat exhibit for the Little Rock Zoo

Joe T. Robinson Middle School students used their interests and STEM skills to build a Google SketchUp (3-D) model and a VersaCAD (2-D) model of the exhibit. Plans are in the works for the model to come to life as an actual zoo exhibit.

Mills High Economics students invest wisely

Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High School Economics students placed first out of 213 teams in the 2013 Region 5 Economics Arkansas Spring Stock Market Game. The winning team was honored with a trophy and a luncheon at the Verizon Arena. The students are grateful to Kevin Moseley and 3M for their support in funding the game. Congratulations, Mills on this outstanding accomplishment!

Fuller Middle’s Green Team wins award for eco-initiative

Congratulations to Fuller Middle School’s Green Team for winning silver in the secondary division of the 2012-13 Arkansas Green Schools Challenge! The presentation of a trophy and cash award by Dustin Davis, Arkansas Green Schools Committee Chair, was held this morning honoring the team in the Central Office Board Room.

Two Mills U.S. High students at head of the class

Nickolas Brooks and Logan Duck, seniors at Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High have been chosen to represent their school and PCSSD in Little Rock Family’s Head of the Class section. These young men have worked hard and have bright futures ahead. You can see the online edition here.
