The Regional Recycling and Waste Reduction District was excited to sponsor its second annual Recycle Advantage School Grants Program this year. The Regional Recycling and Waste Reduction District assists jurisdictions within Pulaski County with planning and overseeing municipal solid waste management programs and services. The school recycling grant is offered as part of the District’s household recycling rewards program RecycleAdvantage.

On Wednesday, November 16, the Sylvan HIlls Freshman Campus was awarded their $1,000 grant that will help start its school recycling and waste reduction program or provide education about their recycling program. The funded project will teach students the value of recycling and provide them with leadership opportunities.

PCSSD would like to thank these great folks at the Regional Recycling and Waste Reduction District: John Roberts, Executive Director, Carol Bevis, Deputy Director & Education Outreach, and Reita Miller, Public Outreach!
