Sylvan Hills students create logos for for Bear, Jeff Henderson

Olympic gold medalist and former student of the Sylvan Hills schools, Jeff Henderson, made a special visit to Sylvan Hills Elementary School on Thursday. He was there to announce and award the winners who were chosen to have their creative design be used as logos for The Jeff Henderson Project called “Giving a Voice to the Voiceless.” The winners were fifth-grade students Ruby Romaine and Briley Mathias. Henderson presented them with a t-shirt with their designed logo on it, along with a smart watch. It was a great time in which the entire school was present for the announcement and got to shake Mr. Henderson’s hand on his way out. Ruby and Briley are in Mrs. Eady’s class and art students of Candace Barnes. Congratulations Ruby and Briley!
