Scholarship offer for PCSSD seniors

One Pulaski County Special School District senior graduating in 2013 will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Arkansas Chapter of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI). AAPI is a national organization representing the interests of about 100,000 physicians of Indian origin and is one of the largest professional medical societies in the USA. One goal of the AAPI is to contribute to charitable and scholarship activities that would help the citizens of Arkansas. Applicants must:

  1. Be a graduating senior with a 3.5 GPA or better
  2. Have shown leadership and extended involvement in community/global service.

Write a paragraph of 500 words or less describing his or her community service and leadership skills.

Obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or school official documenting your community service and leadership skills.

Submit an official transcript

Applications can be obtained from the school counselors’ office and are due by August 30, 2012.
