Back to School 2005

Summer Fun

As soon as people roared off into the sunsets to begin their summer vacations, we hit the schools to install the latest SASI patches. These patches addressed over 500 SARS (software action requests). I can't include all of the information here but below you'll find a few listed that might be of interest:

1. The Mark Verification By Teacher report now prints the list of students for each class in alphabetical order.

2. Cumulative GPA is now spelled correctly.

3. You now receive a message to No Show students in the new year when you inactivate them in the current school year.

4. 2030 errors no longer occur with period and daily attendance. This was the error that prevented you from changing the attendance information for a student after you had already marked them absent for some reason.

5. You can now search by teacher name and course name in the Sections atom.

6. The Listing by Student report (GRD05) now prints correctly when you select All Marks Year-To-Date Time period.

7. The Less Than Full Schedule report (CLS19) now displays the students who meet the period and term parameters selected on the report interface.

8. When printing the two-week attendance scan sheets and using rotations, the Xs that mark the days when the class does not meet now print correctly.

9. The Credit Summary tab now calculates the credits correctly to three decimal places.

10. The Monthly Attendance report (ATD02) now prints correctly when you generate the report using the By Teacher option.

11. The SASI software no longer has the Save to Disk option on its Report Interface.

12. When you choose the option to preview the Class Attendance Summary Report (ATD17), it now displays the preview in PPXView and does not go directly to the printer.

13. The Student Absent N Times Report (ATD09A) does not exclude students without parent-guardian records.

14. When a school is set to Leave Date is the Last Day of Enrollment (ours is) and a student enters and leaves on the same date and that information is recorded on one line in Enrollment History, the Report of Gains and Losses (ATD01/ATP51) now displays the gain/loss correctly.
