Robinson High staff loses weight, improves health with Biggest Loser competition

ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL “Biggest Loser” contest results are in and the winner is Clyde Kelly, in-school suspension intercessor. Mr. Kelly lost 39.8 pounds and dropped his body weight percentage by 12.8%!

In its second year, the program began with 21 participants who paid an entry fee of $20 and on each Monday for 12 weeks they would come to the Health Room for RN Susan Meeks to record their weight and monitor their progress. If the participant gained, they would pay $1 per pound.With Mr. Kelly being the overall winner for the 12 weeks he won $420, but more importantly was an inspiration to all. The combined weight loss for the 19 participants (two dropped out) was 156.8 pounds!

Congratulations to all who made the sacrifice and will hopefully continue on with their healthy lifestyle changes!
