SCHOOL BOARD HOURS FOR 2007

 

 

Disclaimer:   Note:   Effective January 1, 2006, school board members are required to get six (6) hours of training every calendar year.  The current hours of training for each board member is listed as of today, but it should be noted that school board members have until December 31, 2007, to complete this requirement. 

 

Newly-elected board members, or when they go back on the board after a break in service, must receive nine (9) hours of training by December 31 of the year following their election.  They are required to receive six (6) hours each calendar year thereafter.

 

If a board member should receive more than the mandated six (6) hours of annual training in a calendar year, the “extra” hours can be carried forward to meet the requirements for up to three (3) years into the future.
