PCSSD, Taylor Elementary mourn loss of student

Vaytron, a fifth-grader at Taylor Elementary

PCSSD is sad to report the passing of fifth-grade student Vaytron Rogers. Vaytron, a CBI student at Murrell Taylor Elementary School, died this morning. He was diagnosed with congenital hydrocephalus at birth and was a CBI student at Taylor since Kindergarten.

Vaytron, who was in Julie Barber’s class, had recently undergone surgery and was recuperating at home.

Principal Jackie Smith said Vaytron came to school every day with a smile on his face. “He had a loving disposition and brightened the day of all who came in contact with him,” she said. “He touched the lives of everyone here, and was a valued member of the Taylor family.”

Once funeral arrangements are announced they will be posted.
