Cato Elementary student shares a strong bond with his mentor

SHERWOOD, Ark. (KATV) – An Arkansas man isn’t letting a minor deficiency hold him back; in fact, he’s using his wit and knowledge to help a future generation.

School isn’t a place every kid looks forward to attending on a daily basis, but then again not every school has a mentor like 30-year-old Patrick Aldridge from Sherwood.

Step up. Stop bullying


 

Thursday, May 2, Kevin Kelly will host a LIVE Twitter Town Hall on this page from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include students, experts from LRSD, even the Attorney General’s Office. We will be answering your questions about bullying, show you ways to stop it and where to go to get help. We will also ask you, the viewer to sign up and take our “Step-Up, Stop Bullying” pledge.

PCSSD awards 2013 scholarships

The Pulaski County Special School District Scholarship Committee met recently to review and score the applications submitted for the 2012-2013 Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) and June Brown Scholarships. Based on the points received from the scoring rubric, the Committee has awarded a $1,000 scholarship toward post-secondary education to the following graduating seniors:
