Jacksonville High principal, Henry Anderson

Henry Anderson, the first-year principal at Jacksonville High School, was recently named one of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Three Rivers Edition’s 20 to Watch in 2012. The prestigious award is bestowed upon individuals in the community who have accomplished much and have much more to offer. Anderson, who was honored at a banquet last week, was nominated by readers and voted on by a committee. Anderson is making improvements at Jacksonville High School to raise student achievement. Most students know Anderson on campus as their tough but fair leader.

Anderson grew up in Little Rock and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in secondary education. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he was a personnel specialist. The Pulaski County School District is proud of Henry Anderson and Jacksonville High School!
