Congratulations to the Mills High Botball team on finishing third in the 2012 Oklahoma Regional Botball Tournament. The double-elimination tournament took place in Norman, OK on March 10.
There were 29 registered teams that entered the 2012 competition, including teams from Oklahoma (20), Texas (7), Arkansas (1), and New Mexico (1).
In the competition, robots from two different teams compete on the game board simultaneously in an effort to score as many points as possible, but also to keep their opponent from scoring.
The Botball Educational Robotics Program engages middle and high school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition based on national science education standards. By designing, building, programming and documenting robots, students use science, engineering, technology, math and writing skills in a hands-on project that reinforces their learning.
