All Pulaski County Special School District elementary and middle school students will have a uniform dress code. Harris Elementary school uniform guidelines are as follows:
Boys
Shirt
- Short or long sleeve, collared polo-style shirt in any solid color
- No logos
Bottoms
- Belted or elastic waist pants or walking shorts
- Navy, black, gray, or khaki
- A belt is required with all clothing with belt loops
- Length of shorts must be within one dollar bill lengthwise from the middle of the child’s knee
Shoes
- Any color, as solid as possible
- No wheels, flashing lights or sounds
- No open-toed shoes are allowed
Girls
Shirt
- Short or long sleeve, collared polo-style shirt in any solid color

- Belted or elastic waist slacks or walking shorts, skirt, skort, or jumper
- Gray, navy, black, or khaki
- A belt is required with all clothing with belt loops
- Length of shorts, skirt, skort, or jumper must be within one dollar bill lengthwise from the middle of the child’s knee.
Shoes
- Any color, as solid as possible
- No wheels, flashing lights or sounds
- No open-toed shoes are allowed
Backpacks
- All students must carry only clear plastic or mesh backpacks.
- Girls in grades 3-5 may have one 5”x7” zipper pouch (it may be made of any non-translucent material)
