School Choice Options

According to ACT 35, under the Arkansas Department of Educations’ rules governing the Arkansas Comprehensive Testing, Assessment and Accountability Program (ACTAAP), the following schools were identified as not making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) based on Benchmark results for two or more consecutive years.

Elementary Schools: Bayou Meto Elementary, Cato Elementary, Robinson Elementary, and Oak Grove Elementary schools

Middle School and High School Options: Covenant Keepers Charter School and Lisa Academy

A School Choice letter was mailed on July 30, 2011, to parents of students who attend schools in “School Improvement.” The deadline for parents to submit applications for School Choice is August 15, 2011.
